Through publications, meetings, seminars and conferences in the US as well as abroad, ISCA educates U.S. officials on the Islamic culture and history of the Muslim world. Our goal is to enhance cultural sensitivity and generate awareness of the Muslim identity in these regions. In addition, ISCA works closely with representatives of Muslim nations, providing them with a reliable source for traditional Islamic literature on a variety of topics.

10 April 2002 - ISCA Co-Authors the Publication of "In Good Faith: A Dialogue on Government Funding of Faith-Based Social Services" which provides an analysis of the available options to religious groups under the Charitable Choice laws, based on President Bush's Faith Based Initiative

29 January 2002 - ISCA Attends SAIS Event with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Afghan Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Abdullah addressed members of the diplomat, policymaking, aid and development communities at Johns Hopkins' School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

27 January, 2002 - ISCA Attends Georgetown Forum with Afghan Leader Hamid Karzai The Islamic Supreme Council of America attended a dynamic forum at Georgetown University which featured the head of Afghanistan's interim government, Hamid Karzai. The Afghan leader addressed an enthusiastic assembly of more than 2500, and narrated his plans to implement sweeping changes and fresh starts in Afghanistan.

January 2002 - ISCA President Dr. Karim Tourk visits Uzbekistan to observe the republic's constitutional referendum ISCA was the only American Muslim organization invited by the Uzbek government to observe the referendum

3 December 2001 - State Department Iftar - ISCA was among those invited to break their fast at the State Department with Secretary of State Colin Powell in a gesture of peace and understanding to the American Muslim community

EGYPT: (Spring 2000) ISCA meets with Egyptian Ambassador

MOROCCO: (Dec. 1999) Salute to Morocco - In a recent meeting with ISCA in Washington D.C., His Excellency, Ambassador Mohamed Benaissa of Morocco, shared poignant observations regarding the current wave of extremist ideology in the Muslim world, speaking to its sources, its impact on Islam in the west, and partial justifications for the financial crises facing the Southeastern Asian countries.

PAKISTAN: (Dec. 1999) Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif Visits Washington - On December 2, His Excellency, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan arrived in Washington, D.C. for two days of meetings. President Bill Clinton hosted a private luncheon in honor of the PM, who sought to upgrade Pakistani-U.S. relations.
