Brother Kareem, Alslaam alykum

Thank you for your email in regard to the attack on Shaykh Hisham Kabbani.
It is obvious that the Shaykh has struck a sensitive cord.  It is also
obvious that they perceive him as a threat to their organizations.  Their
public reaction indicate their political agenda rather  than their love for
Islam.  Some of these organizations maybe have in honest way misunderstood
some of his clear remarks, but I would have expected, if Islam and the
image of Islam is their main concern, to have approached Shaykh Hisham and
asked for clarification in an proper Islamic way.

As far as the Shaykh views about the Wahabi, in my own opinion, are on the
mark.  The Wahabis governments have been trying to dominate the voice of
Islam in the west through their vast wealth.  God forbid.

May Allah help us all, and protect us from the Wahabi and their extremist
among us.  Taswef will all continue as it has over the years, because it is
the core and the heart of Islam.  It is due to individuals like Shaykh
kabbani and true Sufi Shaykh that the true voice of Islam will continue to
echo for ever.  A body without a heart is a corpse.  This is the Wahabi, no
hearts, no love.

Truth belongs to Allah, it is He who shows the way.  Allah, alone, suffices
us, and what a fine guardian is He!  Blessings upon our Master Mohammed and
his family and Companions altogether, and praise is due to Allah, Lord of
the Worlds.
