Bismillah Ir Rahman Ir Raheem
To Whom It May Concern,
I am appalled that Muslims are defaming such a highly respected scholar of
Islam. Shaykh Hisham's words have been twisted until they are
unrecognizable, and then spread in their distorted form to ignorant
Muslims, who are bullied into condemning Shaykh Hisham without having all
of the facts. I support what he says one hundred percent, and I am sure
that if the majority of people knew him and heard the exact words that he
said, they would support him also.
Shaykh Hisham is responsible for converting thousands of Americans to
Islam, and I converted due to his dawa work almost three years ago, when I
was twenty years old. I have heard him speak several times, and have never
heard him say anything contrary to the truth. If he did not speak up
against the terrorist acts that the extremist minority of Muslims are
committing, he would be condoning them. As such a powerful leader, he has
the responsibility to speak up. Muslims are whining that they have a bad
image because of the media, but there ARE terrorist acts being committed.
If we want to improve our reputation, we need to express that we do not
support these extremist organizations!
Sincerely,
Karimah Dhul-Qarnayn
