Dear Mateen,

We haven't spoken in a while, but I do get the CAIR newsletters and am on
your mailing list, so I am aware of the controversy going on.

I'm not in the Muslim community, Mateen, and can't pretend to understand all
the forces at work here -- but please know that you are in my thoughts and
prayers. I'm just wishing you well right now, and hope that some new light
will come out of all this heat, and that God's/Allah's will  will be
truthfully and compassionately served.
