Asaalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
There is a cure for this disease in our hearts. It is Islam. Find Islam, and you shall succeed, insha'Allah. I am taking the privalage to judge at this moment, but I am doing it with sincerity. We find our Ummah in a sick state. No, we are not the "Sick Man of Europe", we are the "Sick Man of the World". We ingest one another, we chew one another up, and then we spit one another out as waste. What kind of brotherhood is this? This is a mockery of our deen.
We have old men who are trying to dictate the direction of the Ummah. These men have no connection with the average Muslim. They sit on their pedestals, they judge, the get their fringe benefits- and it ends there. And the ones who dedicate every second of their lives for the well-being of others are lambasted and maligned maliciously as if they were kaffirs or criminals.
Our hearts are full of dirt. Nothing better than dirt. Where is the middle path? We don't have a single organization that is moderate. They're all trying to fight one another or some country.
I'm asking you all sincerely to put down your egos. Judge YOURSELVES
for once. Work TOGETHER. Your youth are going astray. Have any of you adults ever been to their schools? Do you all realize the images that go in their minds? The images of people of the opposite gender kissing and groping one another in class, in the halls- they can't escape it. The television is full of all those images too. And do not blame America for this! Blame YOURSELVES- how long have we been in this nation? Show them Islam- they are looking for it! But you all are concerned with material success- your children have to be doctors, lawyers and engineers- your organizations have to be the ones with the most power- either being invited to the White House or bombing the White House. This is SICK.
Your children are out there getting lost at an amazing rate. People talk about the fastest growing religion in the world and in the United States and they ignore that around one quarter of their children in college have drunk and had premarital sex- and that only 5 percent of all Muslims in the US actually pray 5 times a day.
You are all crying to be the "official representative of 'American Muslims' ". The method in which to gain that honor is through WORK. Prove that your group is viable- and do it with humility! What is this "ISNA Zindabad" mentality and "Islamic Supreme Council of America"?? No one made ANY of you our official representative. NO ONE- only YOURSELVES. You have to EARN that title- serve the people. Serve those homeless Muslims- the Muslim families on welfare, the Muslim families with six kids living in a two bedroom apartment- the youth who are LOST, looking for hope and direction and BROTHERHOOD. If the hearts were pure we would see organizations working with one another - WE WOULD NOT SEE MUSLIMS RUNNING TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT CALLING ONE ANOTHER EXTREMISTS. That is totally pathetic. Your youth are out there going astray- the future looks BLEAK. And what do you all have to say? NOTHING- why? because you can't label the youth! You can't call them extremists- you can't call them lost, because you'd be admitting your faults. Do not ignore the problem- the chickens will come home to roost and it will be your youth coming home with babies.
We are all at fault and the solution lies within our hearts from the love of Allah(SWT).
May Allah(SWT) save us all from the wretched dunya and the evils of conformity, ignorance, and pessimism.
