Asalamu'aliekum

To whom it may concern:

I came across the "action alert" by the 7 organizations against Sh. Hisham on
the internet and was surprized by the way it was represented to the Ummah.

There were immediate questions that arose in my mind:

1)  How could these organizations attack first of all a fellow muslim and
then, a reputable scholar and a deputy of Sh. Nazim of the Naqshbandi sufi
order, such as Sh. Hisham without approaching him first?  Most definitely
because they do not accept him as a part/brother of the muslim community due
to their own hidden political agenda it seems. 

2)  Why did these organizations not condemn  terrorism and extremist
ideologies at all in their 'action alert" against Sh. Hisham and pick up a
mike for example and loudly tell the public that we suppport SH. Hisham's
voice against terrorism but do not agree with certain aspects of his speech.
Disagreement is allowed in Islam not  SLANDER!
Allah swt Himself is against extremist views and takes a middle course in
making this religion easy for us.  Sh. Hisham takes the middle road and his
speech is focused on that, his divergence from you all is in his open support
for peace loving muslims from that who are violent; a novel and a brave stance
indeed in the entire muslim community!

3)  Why is Sh. Hisham not accepted by your orgainzations?   Because he
practices and stands for moderate traditional Islam??  Because he celebrates
Mawlud of S.A.W.???  Because he does not use words such as haram, bidda etc.
when a muslim practices his/her deen........and does not alienate them from
Allah's religion???  I think there are lessons to be learnt when love is the
motto of Islam and when our youth feel welcomed in the arms of Islam without
being told "hell and jahannum" await them (astakhfirullah) if they do not
follow their so called version of "Islam."  Sh. Hisham emphasizes and supports
a non-judgmental moderate view on Islam while teaching the sharia and tassawuf
in it's full capacity.  Only Allah swt is the Judge of our affairs.

4)  Now what is good for the goose is good for the gander so to speak.......in
the past many unfair things have been said by your orgainzations about Sh.
Hisham. If you dare to question his credibility ............it is time we
muslims hold the mirror at you and ask:    a) Where do you get you money to
fund your activities?  b)Where does your money go?  c)What is the criteria for
hiring people and firing them in your orgainzations?  d)Whose Islam are you
representing?  In many households there are many couples in which either the
wife or the husband is a sufi or the children are.............are you taking
that aspect into account when making sweeping generalizations and thinking
only your views exist in Islam and are being accepted?

SubhanAllah the same organization such as CAIR who is supposed to help muslims
is also involved.  How can i trust them you tell me?  First of all CAIR needs
to have a facelift.  Council on American Islamic Relations!  Why are Americans
and Islamic issues considered two separate entities?  CAIR needs a basic
orientaion that many muslims are AMERICANS!!

We  also have the issues of American Muslim Council whose one very active
member said "we are against innovations"  I can count on my fingers the number
of innovations muslims like them have created .....such as saying only fard in
the salat and running off to their daily work without saying the sunnah
mukadah in zuhar/salat for example.
One such organization's affiliate has changed the original tafseer of Yusuf
Ali by taking out all the mystic footnotes and explanations of the verses.
There is a whole portion on Imam Ghazali that was added by Yusuf Ali  in Surah
Al Nur and it has been extracted and the revised edition is "their" version of
"his" tafseer.  This made me buy the original copy of Yusuf Ali.  Why i ask is
this done to mislead muslims?

Alhumdulillah, I have been living in this country for the past 19 years and am
disgusted at the way things were handled by you.  I have read your "action
alert" which made me review Sh. Hisham's speech and i found stark naked
facts/issues that we as muslims have not addressed in many years.  We have
been hiding behind a false facade of "loyal muslims" and harboring the
"alcoholic syndrome"amongst us for many years.  I have passed Sh. Hisham's
speech to others to read and inform many who are not aware of these facts.
However i have now also taken steps to inform others of your tactics.

I for one am withdrawing my support of these organizations: CAIR,
AMC,AMA,ICNA,ISNA,MPAC and MSA of Canada and the USA.  They are big on egos
and small on truth. 

I am disgusted by your tactics.
I see a lynch mob mentality amongst you.
I am withdrawing because it is people like you who will create monsters
amongst our youth who will act in militant fashion and we muslims will
personally hold you responsible for it!!!
I see a slave mentality amongst you, where the muslim Ummah is guided like
cattle and sheep.
I am protesting against your severe onesided views in mosques and elsewhere
and am writing in support of Sh. Hisham "the" moderate scholar.  

I am asking Allah swt to guide all Muslims to His Truth and keep all Muslims
united in His Love.  Ameen.
