Since the 1960s, the Mediterranean island of Cyprus has been home to Mawlana As-Sayid Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil Al-Qubrusi Al-Haqqani, the Chairman of ISCA's Honorary Advisory Committee and the worldwide leader of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order.
As a representative of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Order in America, the Islamic Supreme Council often works on a diplomatic level with the government of the Turkish Republic of Cyprus and its representatives in the United States.
