LAST DAY IN SINGAPORE

This last day in Singapore included a brunch at the home of Shaykh Zakaria, where all were invited to-- and crowded into--Zakaria's flat.  Mawlana Shaykh Nazim spoke after the meal for about a half an hour on the importance of living our lives for akhira, while so many of us live only for dunya, a theme he repeated to thousands of listeners throughout this tour of the eastern world.

MP Zainul Abidin met Mawlana as he arrived at his home

In the afternoon, the shaykhs stopped by Member of Parliament Zainul Abidin Rasheed's private residence for a reception.  Light lunch was served and the MP had the opportunity to introduce Mawlana to his family and ask for his support and guidance(right).

Recitation of Mawlid

As night fell, the entourage moved its way to the home of Dr. Tahir for a special farewell program including Mawlid, Dinner and Maghrib and Isha Prayers.  More than 500 enjoyed the recitation of Mawlid ash-Sharif followed by a catered dinner.
