ISCA Chairman Shaykh Hisham Kabbani participates in director Emmanuel Itier's new documentary The Invocation. The film recently won first place in the featured documentary category of the 2010 Los Angeles International Film Festival.

Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil, World Leader of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, met with Pope Benedict XVI in Nicosia, Cyprus, on Saturday, June 5, 2010.

As a gesture of respect and humility, Shaykh Nazim travelled from Northern Cyprus to meet the pontiff in the UN buffer zone, and present him with gifts of a cane, a plaque with the word “peace” in Arabic and prayer beads. The Pope, in turn, presented Shaykh Nazim with a medal of his pontificate. In Islam, exchanging gifts is a tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (s) who said, “Exchange gifts, as that will lead to increasing your love to one another [Bukhari].

CSCA would like to express its support for the important work of Shaikh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri , founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran,  who will relate a comprehensive fatwa (religious ruling) that prohibits terrorism and suicide bombing.

The fatwa announcement is scheduled to take place at a Press conference at One Birdcage Walk, SW1H 9JJ on Tuesday 2nd March at 10am and includes an open Q&A session.
