recent revocation of Salam al-Marayatis appointment
to the Terrorism Commission, and it was conclusively determined
he would not be reinstated, the Islamic Supreme Council of

step against the genocide in the Balkans, trying to prevent

of intervention based on moral principles will continue in
Kosova and around the world, wherever genocide is taking place."
National

(Washington, DC) In an attempt to censor the viewpoints
of moderate Muslims living in America, the Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR) in concert with six other "American"
Muslim organizations have unified to stifle the First Amendment
rights of Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, chairman of the Islamic Supreme
Council of America (ISCA), and have instigated a modern day
Muslim lynch mob...

Serbia's
Ramadan Gift to Kosova: continued genocide of ethnic Albanians
"Tyrants
like Milosevic only understand the language of force
.Kosova
should not turn into another Bosnia." - Shaykh Muhammad
Hisham Kabbani, ISCA Chairman
(WASHINGTON,
DC - 01/26/99) As Muslims around the world ended the holy
month of fasting Ramadan with celebration and festivities,
Serbian forces delivered a "gift" to the Muslims
of Recak, Kosova. In a brutal, calculated attack, Serbian
military forces destroyed much of the village of Recak, and
then proceeded to massacre its civilian inhabitants. Thus
far, 45 are reported dead, with an estimated rise to 80. Among
the dead were several women and a 12-year old boy.
ISCA
calls for peaceful resolution in Iraq
"The
best resolution for the innocent citizens of Iraq is to eliminate
the leadership of Saddam Hussein." - Shaykh Muhammad
Hisham Kabbani, ISCA Chairman
(WASHINGTON,
DC 12/21/98) "The people of Iraq are oppressed,"
says Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, chairman of the council
and a scholar in Islamic Law. "They cannot voice their
own opinion, as there is no democracy in their country which
is currently ruled by the Baath Communist-Socialist
Party. Our sources indicate the majority of Iraqis oppose
Saddam Hussein, but they have no means to remove him. We call
on the UN Security Council and the US government to implement
a peaceful solution for the innocent citizens of Iraq who
are suffering greatly and to help eliminate the current tyrannical
leadership."
Follow-up
Release - Iraqi Bombing
"Iraq
is a political issue not a Muslim one. This is about
eliminating a communist-socialist regime in a post cold war
era." - Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, ISCA Chairman
(Washington,
DC 12/21/98)
"Those
knowledgeable in politics and history can clearly see that
the situation in Iraq is purely a political struggle as the
US continues to combat communism, albeit at a time of détente,"
says Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme
Council of America (ISCA). "Saddam Hussein does not represent
the silenced voice of the Iraqi people; rather, he is a member
of the Baath Socialist Party, speaking and acting on
behalf of his party affiliation, supported by the communist
ex-Soviet Union and now backed by countries with the same
political agenda."
Islamic
Supreme Council of America responds to Iraqi Bombing
(Washington,
DC 12/17/98)
The Islamic Supreme Council of America (ISCA)
wishes to clarify that the US government decision to bomb
Iraq is not primarily a Muslim issue, and thus should not
be treated as one. "No organization in America speaks
on behalf of the Muslim population as a whole, therefore,
I want to make clear that every organization, including the
Islamic Supreme Council of America, speaks on behalf of its
own respective membership, affiliates and

Violence
Cannot Eliminate Violence?
(Washington, DC 09/28/98)
As underscored in Islamic Law, any nation facing an imminent
threat to its security has a right to defend itself. Thus
while we support the defense of our nation, we stress the
fact that violence cannot eliminate violence. Rather it is
often an unfortunate precursor to further escalation of violence.
